Free Climate Change Lectures at Adelaide University

If you are not watching the Olympics tomorrow night (Friday 8 August), living in or around Adelaide and want to know the facts behind climate change, then come along to the first in a series of free public seminars on climate change being given at Adelaide University. The seminar "Is the Earth really warming?" will be from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, Friday 8 August, Lecture Theatre 102, Napier Building, North Terrace Campus, University of Adelaide.

Darn, I was hoping that the lectures would be on the internet, so that I could watch them.

"The fact that some people are asking these questions means that we, as scientists, have a responsibility to explain the science behind climate change,"

Yes, I would be very interested in knowing the science behind the claims of "global warming" and how these measurements were obtained.

Even a child can quote from someone else, because a child does not have the ability to analyze the data sources upon which the research was based.

If you do attend these lectures and have the opportunity to ask a question, please ask how these measurements were obtained.

Here is a good video from Dr. Robert M. "Bob" Carter as a research professor at James Cook University, Australia.

Unlike the University of Adelaide, you can actually watch this video lecture from your computer.

You can now get podcasts and PDF's of the first Adelaide Uni talk at Brave New Climate, I give direct links to the files in this post.

Sheesh, Bob Carter? The man is hardly an expert on global warming. Words fail me. See here, here and here for some examples of the man's cluelessness. A whole roundup is here
(yes, I know I should have dealt with this earlier, but illness and work got the better of me).
